Lennard Rohr obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology from the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, where he also completed his doctoral studies in Neuroscience. His research focused on the discovery, engineering, and characterization of new optogenetic tools and their application to control neuronal signaling. He will continue as a Postdoctoral Fellow under Deniz Dalkara at the Institut de la Vision, developing optogenetic strategies in the context of vision restoration.
