The eye: a window into the brain
Her research project focuses on the regulation of cerebral blood flow and vascular dementias. Her approach involves using the eye—and more specifically, the blood vessels of the retina—as a window into the brain, in order to better understand and diagnose these conditions.
Between analyzing results and conducting imaging experiments, Marine also embodies the qualities essential to her profession: patience, perseverance, critical thinking, humility, and curiosity. She also shares what drives her passion: the freedom to explore new questions every day.
A multidisciplinary institute, a source of hope for tomorrow
She also discusses the multidisciplinary strength of the Institut de la Vision and her hope for the future: that one day it will be possible to diagnose certain forms of dementia using a video recording of the eye.
