International Master’s program iSENSE: Applications now open
Applications are open until June 12, 2026, for the international track iSENSE (Integrative Sensory Neuroscience), part of the Master’s (M2) in Neuroscience at Sorbonne Université.
Fully taught in English, this program focuses on fundamental and clinical advances in visual and auditory sciences. Organized by the Institut de la Vision, with support from IHU FOReSIGHT pour la vision, it is built on an academic partnership with the Institut Pasteur.
A high-level training program in sensory neuroscience
The iSENSE track offers comprehensive theoretical and practical training, with a strong emphasis on integrative and translational approaches. The curriculum notably covers:
- fundamental mechanisms of sensory information processing
- visual and auditory pathologies and their underlying biological bases
- advanced techniques (imaging, electrophysiology, optogenetics)
- innovative therapeutic approaches in ophthalmology and sensory neuroscience
A strong international dimension
The program is embedded in an international network of academic collaborations and offers opportunities for internships and joint pathways with partner institutions.
Candidate profile
This Master’s program is intended for:
- students who have completed a Master 1 in neuroscience, biology, cognitive science, or related fields
- medical students enrolled in MD/PhD (Médecine/Sciences) or École de l’INSERM programs
- medical residents
- candidates holding a Master’s degree in fields such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science
