My current research activities focus on the development of new concepts to shape and measure wavefronts in microscopy. In particular, I use thermo-optical effects to shape wavefronts and improve neurophotonic microscopies. Based on the unique properties of diffusers, I also develop highly sensitive, quantitative phase imaging approaches for label-free identification of biological objects, and multiplexed wavefront sensors for applications in adaptive optics
