Professor José-Alain Sahel, member of the new Presidential Council for Science

Professor José-Alain Sahel is one of the 12 members of the new Presidential Council for Science!

The purpose of this council is to advise the President of the Republic on how to put research and science at the heart of decision-making.

As the founder of the Vision Institute in Paris and Pittsburgh, President of the Voir et Entendre Foundation, Emeritus Professor, and recipient of numerous awards and honors, his appointment underscores his unwavering commitment to supporting the cause of visual impairment and its research.

It is a great source of pride for the Institute. Congratulations to Professor Sahel!
