ANTOINE CHAFFIOL

He is a biologist with many years of experience in electrophysiology (patch clamp, intracellular recordings, MEA and data analysis) as well as 2-Photon imaging and behavioural assays. He is interested in coding, synaptic plasticity and modulation in the retina, and optogenetic approaches to vision restoration.
He got his PhD degree in the Laboratoire de physiologie cérébrale (CNRS UMR 8118) at the School of Medicine Paris Descartes under the direction of Christophe Pouzat and Alain Marty on olfactory coding and data analysis, and then continued his work on olfactory research in Versailles, France (INRA UMR 1272) on invertebrates. Before joining the lab, Antoine worked at OSU (Columbus, Ohio) under the supervision of Prof. Stuart Mangel and studied center-surround properties of cells in fish and rabbit Retina.
