Recent advances in basic and clinical vision research have made ophthalmology one of the most exciting fields of technological and therapeutic innovations.

The Scientific seminar “Regenerative Medicine for Vision Restoration” brings together the renowned Japanese and French research institutions RIKEN, Institut de la Vision and I-Stem to share pioneering and revolutionary experience in translational development of emerging therapeutic strategies and assistive technologies for retinal degenerative diseases.

Participants in the seminar will discuss recent breakthroughs in vision restoration therapies and will work toward creating sustainable collaborations between researchers, clinicians and industry.

The seminar aims at promoting the French-Japanese collaboration in science and innovation. This event is part of the agenda of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Japan.
