On 11 June 2019, the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) announced the election of 56 new members, joining a group of more than 1800 of the best researchers in Europe and the world. We are proud to have among this year's elected scientists the biologist Alain Chédotal, who leads and coordinates the "Development, evolution and operation of commissural systems" group as well as the Development Department at the Institut de la Vision in Paris.

EMBO members actively participate in the execution of the organization's initiatives and have the mission to promote life sciences, deliberate on strategic research choices and foster the emergence of a new generation of excellent researchers.
